A cooperation protocol between South Valley University and the Directorate of Health in Qena to automate health services

Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, and Dr. Muhammad Yahya Badran, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Qena, signed a joint cooperation protocol between the university and the Health Directorate, through which the university supports the health system by designing a system for mechanizing and digitizing health services in the Directorate, most notably the drug, medical supplies and pharmaceutical stores under the care and follow-up of the Administrative Oversight Authority in Qena. 

The university president pointed out that the cooperation protocol is an implementation of the Egyptian state’s current tendency to digital and automate all government services to facilitate on citizens and service providers, and out of the university’s keenness on joint cooperation between the various state institutions and to provide support in various scientific, educational, and cultural fields, research fields, and training programs to exchange experiences and knowledge to contribute to improving the efficiency of health services provided to citizens.

For his part, Dr. Muhammad Yahya Badran praised the efforts of South Valley University in supporting the medical sector in Qena from an educational standpoint and supporting university hospitals that contribute to alleviating the suffering of the people of the governorate through the distinguished professors of medical colleges, stressing that joint cooperation will continue and extend in order to exchange scientific experiences. Pointing out that the university will, through the protocol, design a system for managing the stores affiliated with the Health Directorate, organizing powers, and providing the required data in a smooth and effective manner. The university will also train specialists and those responsible for using the system.
