Qena Governor Major General Ashraf Al-Daoudi and President of SVU Prof .Dr. Yousuf Gharbawy marked the annual ceremony of Martyrs’ Day of the  Egyptian Veterans and War Victims Association  in the presence of the association manager Major General Ashraf Ahmed , Qana Security Manager Major General Mosaad Abo Sokain, SVU Former President Prof .Dr. Abbas Mansour, the military advisor to Qena Governorate Colonel Mohamed Ahmed Ghoneim ,the association manager in Qena branch Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Al-Husseini Al-Masry, and a group of popular and executive leaders in Qena.

Martyr Day is celebrated on 9 March every year, marking the martyrdom of former Chief of Staff Abdel-Moneim Riad on that date in 1969.
