Conduct the draw for the 17th Arab Football Five-a-side Tournament at South Valley University

Under the patronage of Dr. Muhammad Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, Dr. Badawy Shahat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassari, Vice President University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Ashraf Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy conducted the draw for the 17th Arab Football Five-a-side Tournament, which will be held at South Valley University from 3 to 8 December.

The President of the University confirmed that the Arab Tournament is an annual party for South Valley University which it has been keen to organize for 17 years, and it only stopped during the coronavirus pandemic. The main goal of the tournament is to achieve rapprochement, acquaintance and affection. Stressing that everyone is one entity, and that the university organizes purposeful and disciplined activities that lead to deepening values of national loyalty and dedication in the spirits of youth and that part of the building of the student’s personality is built in these student activities. He also expressed his happiness with the participation of universities that are keen to be present in this important event at South Valley University, and that their confidence is the root of its success, wishing honest competition within the framework of affection, and that the university’s gain is the presence of students from different universities.

He also welcomed the universities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, congratulating them on the honorable performance of the Saudi national team in the 2022 World Cup.

Dr. Ashraf Moussa welcomed the teams participating in the tournament, stressing that stressing that the Arab Championship is an important thing for South Valley University; it is not only a sporting event, it is a human value that enhances the depth of brotherhood among the various students of the participating universities.

Finally, the draw resulted in the division of the participating teams into four groups, and the opening match will be held between South Valley University and the Islamic University of Madinah.
