The Prime Minister witnesses the signing of a cooperation protocol to establish a free addiction treatment center at South Valley University

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly,   the prime minister has witnessed today “at the headquarters of the presidency of the council of Ministers” the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between Ministry of Social Solidarity and South Valley University to establish an integrated centre for free drug-addiction treatment at the university to serve the citizens of Qena governorate and the neighboring governorates, with the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity.
Dr. Grabawy, president of the university (representative for Ministry of Higher Education) and Dr. Omar Osman, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity, Manager of the drug abuse control and treatment fund signed the protocol.

The protocol includes establishing integrated centre for treatment and rehabilitation of drug-addicted patients, under the name of “Determination Centre”. The centre serves six thousand patients yearly in Qena and Luxor governorates, particularly those governorates are bereft of addiction treatment services.
