Today, South Valley University witnessed the activities of the fourth day of the first cultural week under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawi, President of the University, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassari, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, a group of deans and faculty agents, and many students.

Where Dr. Abu Bakr Abdel Salam Mustafa, Professor at the Faculty of Archeology, gave a lecture entitled the ancient Egyptian civilization and talked about the ancient Egyptian state and how the Egyptian civilization was great and prosperous for many centuries, and he clarified some misconceptions related to civilization from some jealous people, such as the belonging of the pyramids, the secret of mummification, the use of magic and enslavement, and he explained the extent of The culture of the Egyptian and its distinction, and that the Egyptian from ancient times was keen on religiosity and searching for the faith and always cherishing himself and his land. The doctor talked about the story of the ancient Egyptian Sanuhe and also the story of the Rosetta Stone as an example, and he pointed to the importance of unity and solidarity of the people as this helps the nation to grow and advance.

Dr. Alaa El-Din Mohamed, Vice Dean of the College of Commerce for Postgraduate Studies gave a second lecture on economic development in the face of crises entitled “Egypt does not stop working,” and he explained the dimensions of economic development and competitive advantage, and as an update and based on the importance of the human element in the ancient Egyptian civilization, the state always seeks to Citizen development, as this is considered one of the state’s priorities in particular in the fields of health and education for the citizen because they are the first dimensions of economic development. The state also contributes to creating energy projects, developing roads and communicating between their countries and developing other areas, such as what is happening on the Red Sea Road in terms of tourism and other development to increase economic growth, The economic development of the country can be measured from the size of its national product, as Dr. Alaa pointed out to the economic growth of Egypt in the last 11 years and how Egypt was the first in the east according to global indicators to measure the economy in 2019 and how the global economy was affected by the Corona virus epidemic, but Egypt was one of the least Countries have influence because Egypt has a strong crisis management that had faced the economic downturn in 2008 and learned from its crises to be able to overcome and deal with crises. We have a promising economy as long as we have a cultured human component and strong administrations just as our ancient civilization was dependent on that.

Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawi, President of the University, gave a speech on the objectives of the seminars and the extent of their value, as they create a diversity of thought, cultures and opinions, and fix some misconceptions. He also referred to the goals of the state, the university, members of the teaching staff and others to prepare students and create a specialized citizen.

Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawi also indicated the necessity of following precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus epidemic and the imperative to adhere to them to maintain the validity of the educational process and the continuation of the production wheel.

At the end of the symposium, an open dialogue took place between students and the lecturers of the fourth day of the cultural week activities.
