South Valley University Council discusses precautionary measures within committees in preparation for the first semester exams

Dr. Youssef Gharbawi, President of South Valley University, stressed the necessity of following the precautionary measures in the examinations that take place next Saturday in the university’s faculties, calling for sterilization of the committees daily to ensure the safety of students, with the presence of ambulances near the committees to deal immediately with any sick cases, and confirmed The necessity of the presence of faculty members within the committees to respond to students’ inquiries.

This came during Dr. Youssef Gharbawi presiding over the South Valley University Council in its last session held at the university’s headquarters in Qena, during which he discussed the precautionary measures in the first semester exams for the academic year 2020/2021. During the meeting, the President of the University congratulated Dr. Ali Abdul-Rahman Ghwail for his appointment as Dean of the College of Medicine in Qena, as well as Dr. Ahmed Talaat Tamerk for his appointment as the supervisor of the College of Oral and Dental Medicine in Qena.

  The university president stressed the need to establish a clear mechanism for presenting students ’grievances regarding examinations, and the necessity for controllers to be careful in monitoring grades, stressing that students’ interest should be taken into account first, understanding our children and the future generation, and the student’s right within his university to receive a distinguished educational service.

 Dr. Youssef Gharabawi said that the exams are a red line, so there is no exception in the work of observation  and in the context of reducing students, the courses that are not added to the total have instructed the university president to be taught online with the start of study with the start of the exams for the second semester, and the university president suggested adding a societal issues reporter in implementation of the directives of the Supreme Council of Universities, in place of the human rights course.

 Dr. Youssef Gharbawi stressed the need to make the utmost effort in the initiative of a decent life and development of the Egyptian countryside villages, which has allocated 550 billion pounds to improve villages, and the Faculty of Engineering at the University of South Valley has been assigned to conduct a study of the villages of the Endowment Center, and we must perform our role towards our homeland in light The wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
