Egypt’s Armed Forces Celebrated the Martyr’s Day

Major General Ashraf Al-Dawdy, Governor of Qena, and Prof. Dr. Youssuf Gharbawy, President of the University, attended the celebration of Martyr’s Day organized by the Armed Forces of Egypt. General Ashraf Al-Dawdy emphasized in his speech the pride in the victims of war who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland. Also, he thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for the care of the families of martyrs. Moreover, General Ashraf Ahmed Mohammed, Manager of the Egyptian Veterans and War Victims Association, referred to the importance of that day in honoring the loyal sons of Egypt, highlighting the key role of the organization in supporting the families of martyrs and casualties. Additionally, Dr. Maher Gabr, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf in Qena, spoke about the status of martyrs in Islam, stressing that their memory is a source of pride for the homeland. At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Gharbawy exchanged the memorial shields with General Ashraf Ahmed Mohammed.
