Four Scientists from South Valley University are among the Best 2% of the World’s Scientists

Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, announced that the global ambassador platform issued a database of the best 2% of the world’s scientists, where it is including 4 of the university faculty members from the faculties of science, veterinary medicine and engineering, the President added that this database is issued according to the citations indicators for the year 2021 and the Scopus database, It is worth noting that this database includes more than 100000 of top scientists

Prof.Dr Ahmed Akkawy, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, added that the evaluation method depends on standardized information on citations, the H index, the modified HM index for co-authorship, citations from research papers in different authorship sites, and a composite index Without any self-citations, the scholars are categorized into 22 fields and 176 subfields, where the percentages rank of them were given for who have published at least 5 papers, the selection is based on the top 100,000 by the score of 2 with and without self-citations, Or a percentage rank of 2% or higher
