The President of the University meets with faculty members of the Faculty of Science

Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, met with faculty members of the Faculty of Science, in the presence of Dr. Abbas Mansour, former university president, Dr. Badawy Shahat, vice president for education and student affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Khudary, former vice president of the university, Dr. Suhair Ahmed Rabie, former vice president of the university, and Dr. Khaled Bin Al-Waleed, Dean of the Faculty of Science.

His Excellency congratulated the attendees on the start of the new academic year, stressing that the Faculty of Science is the main pillar of scientific research at various universities, pointing to the importance of updating regulations and opening up to modern trends in preparing academic programs that attract students. He also noted that the university is ready to offer various incentives to students who wish to enroll in Mathematics and Physics Departments such as free accommodation in university cities and tuition fee exemption.

He added that the University provides all means of support to the Faculty of Science to develop scientific research and improve performance levels, noting the importance of scientific publishing and enhancing institutional rank and reputation in the international classification of the University. He stressed the need to make the most of the University’s potential. There was an open debate between the President and the attendees of the faculty during which he heard various proposals and answered all queries.
