Prof. Dr. Youssef Ghrabawy, president of the University met the teamwork of the project “Innovation in the leather industry in Egypt and Jordan”. Dr. Joaquim Gaiao from Technological Centre For The Leather Industry in Portugal and Dr. Mahmoud Sayed Abdel Sadiq, coordinator of the project at the University were representatives of the project.
Dr. Ghrabawy affirmed that the project is funded by Erasmus Programme in cooperation with “Arab Academy For Science And Technology” and “Technological Centre For The Leather Industry in Portugal”, and under the patronage of Ministry of Higher Education. He praised the importance of the project in linking scientific research with the industrial community and providing all means of technical support in order to develop the leather industry.
Dr. Mahmoud Sayed declared that within the activities of the project, a workshop will be held on 8 and 9 December on the project devices and how to conduct chemical, physical and mechanical tests of leather.
