Professor Youssef Grabawy, president of the university signed an executive agreement with EGSA headed by Dr. Mohamed Al-Qusi, and that within the activities of the supreme council of universities in its last session, headed by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This agreement which includes Assiut, Sohag, South Valley and Aswan universities states that the agency shall provide an educational satellite that serves as the nucleus of the satellite technology labs of faculties of engineering and science.
