The Department of Microbiology is one of the basic scientific departments of veterinary medicine because of its vital theoretical and practical information related to bacteria, microorganisms, viruses and fungi, as well as the basics of immunity that enable students to build a knowledge base to understand all pathogens and other disease cycles.
Vision:
Using modern technologies and advanced teaching methods to build a good knowledge base for students to identify the pathogens and immune behavior of many diseases and the possibility of controlling them.
Mission:
Teaching theoretical and practical courses, including the characterization of the infrastructure, the genetic structure of microorganisms, the identification of pathogenic microorganisms in humans and animals, as well as modern methods and advanced techniques for their diagnosis and control, highlighting the genetic and morphological changes of those organisms, the mechanism of such changes and the consequent emergence of new mutation resistant to traditional methods of treatment.
