The Department of Surgical Internal Nursing is one of the most important pillars of nursing specialties on which the Faculty of Nursing of South Valley University is based. It is always at the forefront of all academic activities at the university level, with its educational resources, qualified and trained cadres and with its central curriculum in the Bachelor of Nursing programme, which provides students with a fair educational opportunity to carry out the mission and profession at all local and international levels.
It builds on the philosophy of education that nursing is both a science and an art. It not only relies on traditional teaching methods, but also applies modern technology and new learning methods to induce students to demonstrate their creativity and to make them eligible to meet the needs of the labour market locally and internationally.
The department works to sustainably develop curricula and study plan, to qualify graduates in ethically and professionally integrated traits and to enhance the quality of education by using distinct teaching methods applied simulation in practical approaches through the presence of high-level simulator dolls and equipment that provides an environment that mimics those available in a healthy work environment. This provides students with a unique educational opportunity at the district level. It also has experienced and competent cadres capable of bringing students to the highest levels of success and creativity.

The faculty of Nursing seeks local and regional leadership and excellence in nursing education, scientific research and community service by providing an enabling learning environment that offers courses that will help students acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors necessary to care for the health imbalances of acute and chronic adult conditions in adult health nursing fundamentals.
