Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of the University, sang the national anthem and saluted the flag with students of the faculties of Physical Therapy and Sports Education on the first day of the new academic year, in the presence of Dr. Badawy Shahat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Ashraf Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, and Dr. Mahmoud El-Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy.

The President witnessed welcoming festivities for new and old students at the Faculty of Physical Education and praised the students of the Faculty, stressing that they are honorable models for their achievements and awards that contribute to highlighting the name of the university and its progress in international rankings. He said the Faculty would participate in the opening and closing ceremonies of the World Speedball Championship next October in Hurghada thanks to the effort of the Faculty students and professors. He also visited an art exhibition for students, inaugurated the Faculty council hall, and praised its advanced capabilities.

Dr. Ashraf Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, welcomed the new and old students, thanked the university’s president, and praised South Valley University’s continuous achievements.

At the end of the celebration, the President honored the Faculty’s students and granted them certificates of appreciation
