Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University and supervised by Dr. Ahmad Akawy, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate and Research Affairs, the University’s Laboratories and Scientific Equipment Committee met under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Akawy, in the presence of Dr. Hassan Younis, Coordinator of the National Bank of Laboratories and Equipment at the Supreme Council of Universities, and the coordinators of the faculties.
The Committee discussed making scientific data available to all researchers on South Valley University website and sensitizing them through a workshop to be held in each Faculty. The Committee also discussed linking the procurement of scientific devices to the database to prevent duplication of procurement and presented its plan for repairing broken devices through specialized maintenance companies.
Finally, the committee discussed the proposed ways of pricing the use of scientific devices within the university and facilitating payment methods by researchers inside and outside the university.
