Department of Anatomy

The Department of Anatomy aims to study the general shape and structure of the various organs of the animal body, consisting of the motor system as well as the digestive, respiratory, urinary and reproductive systems, and to explain their association with the three body cavities (abdominal, thoracic and pelvic), as well as the general anatomical study of each of the body’s controls, consisting of the nervous system, the periodic system and the lymph. This science also examines sensory organs such as the eye and ear. It also includes all manifestations of anatomical differences between different animals. The aim of this course is to study the different stages of embryonic development, beginning with inoculation and ending with the formation of the fetus and the formation of different organs before birth.

Prepare and qualify students with the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviors in veterinary anatomy to be able to keep pace with each new in the field of specialization through a comprehensive review of academic and research aspects and teaching methods, as well as to build communication bridges with other departments benefiting from the department’s output.

Mission:

Providing a high level of basic academic knowledge and skills in the field of specialization to qualify students for further study at the Faculty as well as to prepare them with the applied skills necessary for the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of animals. as well as directing scientific research in the department to serve the community.
