1st International Scientific Conference “Basic Sciences and Sustainable Development” at South Valley University

Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy stated that scientific research is the main role of researchers and scholars, and South Valley University`s interest in scientific research contributed to obtaining an advanced position in the classification of Arab and African universities, calling on everyone to contribute, to raising the university’s status, and pointed out that the university support research and scientific conferences and cooperate with other universities in a way that contributes to the development of scientific research.

Prof. Dr Ahmed Akkawy conveyed the greetings of the President of the University to all the attendees noting that the conference aims to link basic sciences with sustainable development and enhance interconnection between the various scientific disciplines in Egyptian universities, and link the applied scientific research with different industries, in a way that contributes to Achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030 and promoting innovations.

Prof. Dr Hamily Abdel Shafiy expressed his happiness with this important scientific event and pointed to the university president’s unlimited support for the faculty and the conference, which targets graduate students, researchers and professors from various Egyptian, Arab and regional universities, which contributes to the advancement of the university and community service per the state’s strategy for sustainable development.

Prof. Dr Khalid bin Al-Walid indicated that the conference deals with several axes in various basic sciences, New and Renewable Energies, Biotechnologies, Biodiversity, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, as well as Nanotechnology, Materials Science, Earth Sciences, Remote Sensing, Digitization, Computer Science, Environmental and Agriculture Science, Animal production, Water Treatment and Desalination, and Recycling Residues Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Health Sciences.

A group of faculty members and their assistants from Egyptian universities, some researchers from abroad and students from the university participated in the conference.
