An awareness symposium on the dangers of addiction and abuse

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nasary, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, an awareness symposium was held on the dangers of addiction and abuse in cooperation with the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and supervised by Prof. Dr. Sami Abdel Raouf. Fahim, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Professor Dr. Al-Saghir Ahmed Omran, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The symposium discussed the types of drugs and the negative effects of abuse and the effects resulting from addiction psychologically and neurologically, and the treatment services provided by the Al-Azimah Center for Addiction Treatment.

The activities of the symposium were witnessed by Prof. Dr. Al Sagheer Ahmed Omran, and Mr. Mahmoud Yassin, representative of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction, the volunteer house team at the university, and a large student presence.
