The faculty was established according to the presidential decree
no.(183) dated 1996. it does its best to meat veterinary sciences and
techniques and raise efficiency of veterinary medical services
through graduating of a qualified veterinarian scientifically and
clinically to practice the profession, doing studies and scientific and
applied researches in the field of veterinary medical sciences, which
aims to serve community and environment, providing advices and
scientific and technical assistances to owners’ of animal, fish and
poultry farms and food protection, raising level of graduates,
according to needs of labor market, activating the role of faculty in
the area of environment and society, doing requirements of animal
diseases prevention that transmits from animals to humans and
providing means of publication and scientific research in various
areas of veterinary medicine.
