Under the auspices of the university president Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohamed Mansour and the supervision of Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Syed Ahmed Mohammed Taha, a workshop entitled “Safety and security in university labs” was held. It lectured by the faculty of Pharmacy Dean Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mohammed Abu al-Wafa, the faculty Secretary Dr. Ramadan Abdullah Naeem and with the participation of specialists and laboratory technicians at the practical faculties (Science – Veterinary Medicine – Medicine – Agriculture – Pharmacy – Archaeology – Education).
Workshop was dealt with prevention, security and safety methods used in laboratories and needs of the different security means, during the workshop specialists and laboratory technicians talked about the problems they face from their workplaces.
At the end of the workshop, participants expressed their desire to receive training and awareness monthly in order to benefit from the various lectures and training courses.
