Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawi, President of South Valley University, the External Audit Team of the ISO Certification body and the Consultative Group for qualifying ISO projects at the university for accreditation visited the university to approve the university’s five ISO projects funded entirely from its budget, which are:
The vice-presidents of the university received the team, namely Dr. Badawi Shahat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs on behalf of His Excellency Dr. Youssef Gharbawi, the President of the University, who welcomed the team at South Valley University and conveyed to them the greetings of His Excellency the University President, and Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, where he reviewed the technical details of the ISO projects, the specifications for each project, and the procedures taken by the university to finance these projects and implement the university’s ISO specifications.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Tariq Al-Kashef, Director of the Quality Assurance Center at the University, Dr. Amani Abdel Moneim, Deputy Director of the ISO Affairs Center, and the managers of ISO projects and members of the work teams in those projects. The latest developments in the procedures for projects progress were reviewed in terms of organizational structures, job description cards, policies, and the extent to which university employees are familiar with these policies and procedures. Topics that need improvement were discussed so that the university meets the requirements of ISO standards, each according to its type.
The visit began with the opening interview, then the documentary examination to review the compatibility of the management system with the actual implementation of the projects, then field visits to the project sites. Finally, the visit ended with the closing meeting, where the team praised the outstanding performance of the ISO projects at the university.
