Visit from Seven Egyptian Universities Led by the AMIDEAST Team to the Disability Services Center at South Valley University


A team from seven Egyptian universities, including Al-Minya, Aswan, Kafr El-Sheikh, Menoufia, Banha, Port Said, and Matrouh, visited the Disability Services Center at South Valley University, under the leadership of the AMIDEAST team. The visit was conducted under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, and supervised by Dr. Badawi Shahat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, with the presence of Dr. Mohamed Said, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

 

This visit was part of a training program for the seven public universities to establish new disability services centers, with South Valley University’s center serving as a pioneering model for providing various services to individuals with disabilities. The center is one of 20 that have been established over the past years.

 

The AMIDEAST team included Dr. Dina Mohsen, Deputy Director of the Government Scholarships Program and Disability Program Coordinator, Mr. Mohamed Ali, Disability Project Manager, and Ms. Amal Khalil, Administrative Manager of the project.
