As part of South Valley University’s commitment to fostering student awareness and cultivating a generation of conscious youth leaders, the University’s Student Leadership Center organized a series of awareness seminars under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Prof. Ahmed Akawy, President of the University. The events were supervised by Mr. Mohamed Walid, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare, and implemented by the Administration of Student Families and Unions, led by Mr. Mahmoud Kamal, Director of the Administration, along with Mr. Mostafa Fouad and Mr. Hassan Zein.
The program included a seminar titled “Participation in Public and Political Life”, held from August 25 to 28, during which students attended a series of lectures delivered by distinguished university professors: Dr. Ashraf Mousa, Dr. Badreya Hassan, Dr. Karima Kamal, Dr. Hussein Abu El-Magd, Dr. Nagwa El-Hawary, and Dr. Mona Shehata.
The seminars addressed the importance of strengthening a sense of belonging and active citizenship, the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation’s future through positive engagement in societal and political issues, participation in diverse student activities, combating misconceptions, and promoting national initiatives such as the Decent Life Project.
