University President Visits Coptic Orthodox Diocese to Extend Christmas Greetings


Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, visited the Coptic Orthodox Diocese in Qena to extend Christmas greetings. He was warmly received by His Grace Bishop Sharobim, Bishop of Qena and its affiliated regions, along with several priests of the diocese.

 

During the visit, Dr. Akkawy expressed his heartfelt congratulations to His Grace Bishop Sharobim, Christian clergy, and the Coptic community. He exchanged greetings with church attendees and emphasized the unity among all Egyptians under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He also highlighted the deep and enduring bonds between Muslims and Copts throughout history, praying for prosperity, peace, and stability to prevail in Egypt.

 

His Grace Bishop Sharobim welcomed Dr. Akkawy’s visit, expressing his appreciation and delight, stating that the visit reflects the strength of relations and unity among all segments of the Egyptian people. The bishop praised the spirit of love and solidarity within the nation and commended South Valley University’s significant role in education, cultural development, and serving the Qena community across various sectors.

 

The visit was attended by several faculty members and Mr. Mubarak Ahmed Mahmoud, Director General of Media and Public Relations at the university.
