In its recent meeting held at the university headquarters in Qena, the South Valley University Council, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, approved a memorandum of cooperation between the Unit for Managing Egyptian-Japanese Schools and the Faculty of Education at South Valley University.
The Council also approved the establishment of a special program for the Faculty of Medicine at South Valley University, with fees for students who were not accepted into the general program. These students will be admitted to the special fee-based program starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, which will be the first year of implementation for this program.
Additionally, the Council approved the proposed academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic year, which is as follows:
– Start of the academic year: Saturday, September 28, 2024
– End of the first semester: Thursday, January 2, 2025
– First semester exams: January 4, 2025 – January 23, 2025
– Start of the second semester: February 8, 2025
– End of the second semester: May 29, 2025
– Second semester exams: June 2025
-Second-round exams for the 2024/2025 academic year at the Qena and Hurghada campuses: Starting September 7, 2025
The Council also approved the opening of applications for the General Diploma at the Faculty of Education in Hurghada, under the credit hour system, from September 1, 2024, to September 15, 2024.
Moreover, the Council approved the opening of applications for graduate studies at the Faculty of Education in Hurghada and the Educational Studies branch in Luxor (Professional Diploma and Special Diploma) from September 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024, for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Finally, the Council agreed to open the summer semester for the General Diploma at the Faculty of Education in Hurghada and the Educational Studies branch in Luxor – under the credit hour system (Teacher of Subject Track – Teacher of Class Track) for the 2023/2024 academic year.
