South Valley University continued its medical caravans as part of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Development,” under the sponsorship of Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, and the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. The university’s Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a medical and nursing caravan to Garajous Village in Qus, Qena.
Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, noted that the medical caravan provided treatment services to 478 cases, including diagnosis, treatment, and referrals to the university hospital. The breakdown of cases treated was as follows: 65 internal medicine cases, 157 ophthalmology cases, 90 orthopedic cases, 76 pediatric cases, 50 gynecological cases, 35 ENT cases, in addition to 6 cases of individuals with special needs.
