The University President receives the American University delegation


Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, received the American University delegation entrusted with establishing professional development centers in Egyptian universities. The delegation included Dr. Aml Abdel Wahed, director of the Professional Development Centers Project at the American University, and Maha Fakhry, executive director of the project. The meeting discussed the possibility of establishing a professional development center at the University branch in Hurghada and developing the career development center at the university’s headquarters in Qena, in light of the protocol signed between the American University and the Ministry of Higher Education.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy stressed the university’s keenness to cooperate with all local and international organizations in all fields, especially those that contribute to providing students with the skills necessary for the labour market and entrepreneurship.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhammad Omran, Director of the University’s Career Development Center. The delegation visited the University’s Career Development Center and commended the achievements made by the Centre since its inception in terms of services and activities aimed at qualifying young people for the labor market.
