The university president receives a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education to assess the material and human resources capabilities of the university branch in Hurghada.


Dr. Ahmed Akawi, the President of South Valley University, received a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education to evaluate the material and human resources capabilities of the university branch in Hurghada. The committee included Dr. Abdelaziz Qansoua, the President of Alexandria University, Dr. Essam El-Din Farhat, the President of Minia University, and Dr. Ayman Osman, the President of Aswan University, in the presence of Dr. Mahfouz Abdel-Sattar, the Vice President of the University for Hurghada Branch Affairs.

The visit included inspection tours of the faculties at the Hurghada branch, reviewing specific data about the faculties and their various capabilities, as well as field visits to the faculties of the branch.

Dr. Akawi emphasized the importance of establishing Hurghada University to contribute to the development of the Red Sea Governorate and support sustainable development, which requires specialists capable of innovation and creativity. He highlighted that universities serve as centers of expertise and scientific reference for preparing qualified personnel and providing structured scientific consultations. Dr. Akawi also noted that the Red Sea Governorate is one of the largest in the country in terms of area, and the university will play a role in advancing development efforts in the region.
