The University President Inaugurates the 17th Environmental Week


Prof. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, inaugurated the 17th Environmental Week, which is being held from February 23 to 27.

The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Abbas Mansour, former University President; Prof. Mohamed Mahgoub Azouz, former President of Luxor University; Prof. Mohamed Said, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Badawy Shehata, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Mohamed Wael Abdel Azim, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Sohair Hamdy Rabie, former University Vice President; Turob Talaba, University Secretary-General; Abdel Razek Hussein, Assistant Secretary-General, along with faculty deans, vice deans, and representatives from supporting and sponsoring organizations.

The event underscores the university’s commitment to environmental sustainability, aiming to raise awareness and foster collaboration between academia and environmental institutions to promote eco-friendly initiatives.
