Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, attended the closing ceremony of the 44th University Teacher Preparation Course organized by the Faculty of Education in Qena for assistant faculty members from various university colleges, which took place from September 21 to 26, 2024. The event was attended by Dr. Essam Al-Tayeb, Dean of the Faculty of Education in Qena, Dr. Abdul Rahman Abu Al-Majd, the college’s Vice Dean for Education and Students, and a number of faculty members from the College of Education.
The university president emphasized the importance of training in teaching and learning, capacity building, self-development, and understanding how to transfer knowledge and experiences to others. He highlighted the significance of university teacher preparation courses in providing the necessary skills for teaching assistants and preparing them for the new phase in education that various educational institutions are experiencing. He also acknowledged the crucial role of the Faculty of Education in Qena as a center of expertise in teaching methods and all matters related to the educational process, affirming the importance of building the capacities of faculty members and effectively utilizing human resources to achieve sustainability and a positive impact.
