Under the auspices of President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the university began addiction awareness training course in cooperation with Drug Control and Addiction Treatment Fund with the participation of 30 students from the participants of military education course in Faculty of Engineering. It was lectured by Mr. Ragab Mahmoud from Drug Control and Addiction Treatment Fund. He referred to the great efforts of the fund to face the phenomenon of addiction through organizing various awareness campaigns, preventive programs, workshops and training courses .He also talked about means of drug promotion, causes of abuse, and different methods of prevention, drug classification and its negative effects .The course involved a group of workshops to develop the trainees’ skills in facing phenomenon of addiction.
