Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, held a meeting to discuss the necessary arrangements and ways to achieve collaboration within the National Higher Education Strategy among the parties of the Higher Education Institutions Alliance in the Upper Egypt region. This initiative is part of the presidential initiative “Alliance and Development,” which involves forming alliances of Egyptian universities according to their regions, including the Upper Egypt region, coordinated and led by South Valley University.
The meeting focused on finalizing the nominations for members of the regional center and the executive council of the Upper Egypt Alliance. It also addressed the establishment of four specialized centers: one for developing innovative and interdisciplinary programs that meet labour market needs, another for linking industry with scientific research, a center for building strategic partnerships to support innovation and entrepreneurship, a center for managing program portfolios, and a center for enhancing access to educational pathways, entrepreneurship, and employment, with a focus on supporting individuals with special needs.
