The President of the University witnesses the start-up of 50 new complete Dental Units at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine.


Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, witnessed the start-up of 50 new complete dental units that were distributed to a group of different clinics in the Faculty, such as diagnostic clinics, paid treatment clinics and others, this came in the presence of Prof. Dr Ahmed Akawy, Vice President for Post-Graduate and Research Affairs, Prof. Dr Ahmed Kamal Nasray, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr Badawy Shahat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, deans, deputies and members of the University Faculty.

The President of the university praised the role played by the Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine to improve the medical service provided to patients in Upper Egypt within the role of South Valley University in serving the community surrounding the university.

Prof. Dr Ahmed Talaat Temirk, Dean of the Oral and Dental Medicine Faculty, said that the new units were prepared at the highest technical level, were equipped with the newest equipment for infection curb and take care of patient’s health, and are considered a distinct addition to the Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine, pointed out that the total number of pathological cases have been treated in the Oral and dental clinics during 4 years, from 2018 to 2021, amounting to 130 thousand and 66 cases
