The President of South Valley University receives the President of the African Theatrical Union “ATU” to cooperate in providing artistic and cultural activities for students.


Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, received Haitham Al-Hawary, artistic critic, President of the ATU and President of the International Theater Festival for Southern Youth, to discuss the cooperation plan between the university and the festival at its eighth edition, which will be held next March in Qena Governorate. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Mubarak Ahmed, Director General of Public Relations and Media.

The university president said that the festival in its previous session achieved great success and contributed to the discovery of a large number of talents among the youth of the South, adding that during the new session, the number of activities and events for university students will be increased.

Haitham Al-Hawary thanked the university president, who seeks to provide artistic and cultural services to university students and discover their artistic talents and present them in an appropriate manner, noting that the festival’s eighth edition will include diverse and new activities that will be presented for the first time in Upper Egypt.
