Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, received a delegation from the Faculty of Arab and Islamic Studies at Al-Azhar University in Qena. The delegation included Dr. Ahmed Atallah Abdel Basit, Vice Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ahmed Hussein Khalil Abu Jama’, and Dr. Alaa Ali Sultan, members of the faculty’s teaching staff. The delegation congratulated Dr. Ahmed Akkawi on the occasion of assuming his new position and discussed the exchange of scientific and cultural relations between the two institutions. The delegation also presented the shield of the Faculty of Arab and Islamic Studies on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty.
For his part, the university president expressed his happiness at the congratulations and affirmed his love and pride in Al-Azhar University.
