
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of Qena University, presided over a meeting focused on enhancing the university’s health system and improving medical services for both employees and the local community, in the presence of Dr. Mohmed Saeed, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mohmed Wael, Vice President of the University for Post-Graduate and Research Affairs, and Dr. Ashraf Mossa, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs Dr. Ali Ghweil, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Ms. Tarob Tolba, Secretary of the University, Mr. Abdel Razek Hussein, Dr. Ahmed Ali Amer, Deputy Executive Director of University Hospitals, Mr. Mahmoud Khalifa, Eng Mohamed Kamel, and Mr Amr Fathy, the meeting addressed the establishment of “Qena University Specialized Clinics.” These clinics have intended to deliver advanced medical services, support the university’s healthcare initiatives, and expand service offerings in accordance with regulatory standards.
The University President discussed the technical aspects of the project, operating and management mechanisms, and plans to make optimal use of available capabilities and resources in a way that enhances the university’s orientation towards investment, developing its own resources, and achieving sustainability in the services provided, stressed that the specialized clinics project represents a qualitative step to support the community and service role of the university, noting that the university works according to an integrated vision that aims to maximize the benefit from the infrastructure and available capabilities, which is directly reflected in the quality of services provided to university employees and citizens, and contributes to supporting the state’s orientation towards developing the health sector and achieving sustainable development.
His Excellency also added that the university aims to maximize its infrastructure and capabilities, improving service quality for employees and citizens while supporting the state’s health sector development goals.
The clinics’ proposed location near female student hostels offers integrated health services swiftly and safely, enhancing the living environment within university hostels and supporting the university’s commitment to student care and support.
