Major General Ashraf Daoudy, Governor of Qena, and Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, visited the Coptic Orthodox Archbishop in Qena governate, to congratulate the glorious Easter and were received by His Eminence Bishop Cherubim, archbishop of Qena, Father Daniel Syrian, deputy Archdiocese, Father Ammonios Fares, and several priests, accompanied by Dr. Hazem Omar, Deputy Governor, Major General Ihab Taha, Assistant Minister of Interior, Director of Qena Security, Brigadier General Mohamed Ghoneim, Military Advisor to the Governorate, Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Sabri, Representative of National Security, and Dr. Maher Jabr, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf, Sheikh Taj El-Din, Director General of Qena Al-Azhar Region, Hassan Othman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and a group of executive and security leaders.
The Governor of Qena said that Egypt is strong with the unity of its people throughout the ages, who made history and proved to the world that Egyptians are one and indivisible entity, pointing to the depth of feelings of brotherhood, tolerance, and love that bind the Egyptian people, Muslims, and Copts, pointing out that the holidays represent a new opportunity to spread love and peace vibes.
Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy congratulated Bishop Sharubim and all Christian brothers, stressing the brotherly relations and the interdependence of the Egyptian people in achieving comprehensive development under the wise leadership of H. E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
For his part, Bishop Sharubim expressed his sincere thanks to the Governor of Qena and his accompanying delegation of security and executive leaders for their congratulation and participation in the glorious Easter. Also, he praised the efforts made to advance the various service sectors in the governorate, stressing that national unity and the spirit of love and cooperation that brings together the sons of the homeland will remain the rock on which all conspiracies will be shattered to keep Egypt an oasis of security and safety, noting that it is fortunate that several religious occasions meet on consecutive days It is the blessed month of Ramadan, Laylat al-Qadr, the glorious Easter, and the blessed Eid al-Fitr praying to God to return these days to our Egypt with goodness, security, and peace.
