The Governor of Qena and the President of South Valley University inaugurate the events of the 14th Environmental Week


As part of the cooperation between the Governorate and the University in various sectors, General Ashraf al-Daoudy, Governor of Qena province and Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, inaugurated the 14th Environment Week, held at the University’s Qena and Hurghada Branches, March 12-17, in the presence of Prof. Dr Badawy Shahat, University Vice-President for Educational and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr Ahmed Nassary, University Vice-President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr Ahmed Akawy, University Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr Mahmoud Khodary, former Vice-President of the University, and Dr Sohair Rabei, former Vice-President.

During the ceremony, the President of the University highlighted the role of the University’s activities in particular the teaching hospitals, the medicine & veterinary convoys, the cooperation protocols in the framework of the presidential initiative to support students, the role of the University in the eradication of illiteracy and against corona virus, in addition to the establishment of Azema Centre for drug treatment, the ceremony featured a documentary about the greatest achievements of community services and environmental development sector

At the close of the ceremony, Qena Governor presented an award to the President of South Valley University, the President of the University presented the Environment Week Award to the Governor and the sponsoring organizations for the ceremony as well.
