Dr. Osama Hussein, general director of Qena university hospitals announced the first surgery; arthroscopic Anterior cruciate ligament surgery (ACL) at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, University Hospital. It is a continuation of micro-surgeries performed by the various departments of the University Hospital as integrated part of the ongoing development of Qena University hospitals under the auspices of Dr. Abbas Mansour, president of South Valley University.
It is an important step towards providing accurate surgeries for the people of Qena. It reduces the pressure on the nearby university hospitals that perform such those types of surgeries to improve the medical service in Upper Egypt.
