The Conclusion of The Annual Awareness-Raising Meetings of South Valley University to Eradicate Illiteracy in Qena Governorate


Under the patronage of  Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of the University, and supervision of Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the awareness meetings organized by the university for its students to motivate them to participate in the national project to eradicate illiteracy in Qena Governorate were came to an end. The meetings continued over the course of the week, with a meeting for each of the governorate’s towns.

This came within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol between the university and The Public Authority for Adult Education. The events of those meetings revolved around how to open classrooms for illiterates, the places and timings for opening classes, the curricula used to teach these illiterates, the duration of the semester, the number of exam sessions during the year, and the incentives offered by the university and the authority to participating students. At the end of each meeting, there will be An open dialogue between students and lecturers, through which all questions and inquiries from students are answered and solutions to all the difficulties that students may face.

It is worth noting that these meetings will start next week in Luxor Governorate to educate the university students of the Governorate.
