Under the auspice of university president Prof. Dr. Youssuf Gharbawy, the annual awareness meeting to participate in Literacy and Adult Education Project was held for students in Red Sea Governorate. In the presence of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mahmoud, Dean of Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Karima Abdellah, Vice Dean for Students Affairs, Prof. Dr. Rabab Zamzamy, Vice Dean for Community Services and Environmental Affairs, Dr. Saydah Salama, Coordinator of Literacy and Adult Education Project at the faculty, and Mrs. Maha Galal,General Manager of the General Authority for Adult Education in Red Sea Governorate, the manager of Adult Education Center Dr. Mohammed Alsayed illustrated in his word the university role against illiteracy, referring to the cooperation protocol between the university and the General Authority for Adult Education. Besides, he talked about the project objective which is a part of the presidential initiative “Haya Karima” that seeks to eradicate illiteracy of citizens in rural Egyptian villages and overcome all difficulties that face this achievement.
