With the participation of children of the different orphanages in Qena, Community Service and Environmental Affairs Sector organized the 8th Annual Celebration of Orphans Day at SVU under the auspice of President of the University Prof. Abbas Mansour. Prof. Yussuf Ahmed Gharbawy, Vice-president for the sector, asserted the importance of organizing the celebration to draw attention to the plight of the orphans who have no surviving parent to care for them, having lost both parents, either as a result of bereavement or by being abandoned .He also called the public to give them new start in life and to know that they are part of our society.
