The 5th Upper Egypt Salon was opened by Governor of Luxor Dr. Mohammed Badr and President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour in the presence of Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khodary and a large number of public figures and intellectuals . Dr. Mohammed Badr asserted the importance of that salon, referring to the cooperation with Faculty of Fine Arts in beautifying villages and cities in Luxor. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour asserted that the salon’s organization was a distinctive addition to the cultural movement in Luxor and a great opportunity to benefit from the participating artists and gain experiences. It is worth mentioning 260 artists from 23 Arab and foreign countries participated in the salon.
