Governor of Qena Gen. Abdel Hamid El Hagan and President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour have witnessed the celebration of Girl’s Day organized by Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in the context of Equal Opportunities for Females Project in Higher Education. Gen. Abdel Hamid El Hagan praised the role of SVU in supporting the Egyptian girls as establishing Equal Opportunities for Females Center and opening Elimination of Violence against Women Unit. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour asserted the university’s interest in annually organizing that celebration in recognition of their role in building the community. At the end, it is worth mentioning that the importance of the girl is like the mother who is a school, and preparing her is like preparing a good nation. 2017 is the year of Egyptian woman as was declared by Dean of Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Mona Rabea.
