Symposium on Programs of German Academic Exchange Service “DAAD”


Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the university president, supervision of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khodary, Vice President for Postgraduate and Prof. Dr. Sayed Taha , Vice President for Community Service , the university was held Symposium on Programs of German Academic Exchange Service “DAAD”, as Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the university president in his speech talked about the importance of cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service in all fields that includes the scientific research and providing grants for Egyptians students in order to study in German Universities, while Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khodary, Vice President for postgraduate stressed on the importance of grants that provided by the Authority for the Egyptians students in various fields , as Prof. Dr Essam Azz Al-Din Taher, a professor of German at Ein Shams University pointed out to the program for the cooperation with the Egyptian universities includes South Valley University
On the other hand, Mr. Michael Harms, Director of the regional office of the German Academic Exchange Service stressed on the importance of cooperation with the Egyptian universities and the academic’s programs in Egypt ,as he explained the definition of the academic , which is considered the largest granter authority in the world as well as supporting the international exchange for students , scientists and researchers , beside promoting the German studies in the world and enhancing the communication between researchers in the two countries , adding that the grants include long grants from one to three years and short grants such as those that providing for participation in summer courses in German universities, where the symposium was attended by deans , Dr. Mahmoud Sayed Abdel Sadek coordinator of student activities , the academic staff at the university , their assistances and a number of students at the university
