Symposium on Codes of Honor in Media and Journalism was held at the university within the events of 1st Media Forum of Mass Communication Faculties at SVU on October 4-8-2015 under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour , the university president .
Dr. Jamal Abd Al Rahim , the former editor in chief of Algomhuria newspaper and general secretary of journalists syndicate declared that law of Media and press was developed which is benefit for all journalists , he also pointed out that journalists syndicate was applied Honor Code for journalists.
On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Saber Hares, professor of press in Faculty of arts at Sohag talked about factors complementary to the laws and legislation which aim to reform the press such as ethics for journalists and how to select the leaderships in Media.
