Within the framework of the presidential initiative Haya Karima, SVU organized a medical campaign in Abu Tesht. The campaign examined and treated 365 patients for free in the following specializations: Ophthalmology (39 cases), Orthopedics (180 cases), Ear, Nose & Throat (60 cases), Gynecology and Obstetrics (13 cases), Psychiatry (3 cases), Pediatrics (50 cases), Dermatology (60 cases), and Internal Medicine (80 cases). Moreover, drug awareness campaign was launched in the center as stated by Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary who talked about the topics discussed with the citizens as the importance of learning how to read and write, the dangers of illiteracy, and the agricultural problems which faced them in cultivating the various crops.
