South Valley University Council headed by Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the university president approved Amendment of the Awards bylaw at the university with regard to scientific publishing, the University Incentive Award, excellence, the best work of author and the best work translation, as the university president pointed that this amendment is part of Stimulation of researchers to interest in scientific research and community service, while Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khodary, Vice President for postgraduate added that the amendment was allowed the academic staff and the university employees to apply for award of scientific publishing , award of the best work of the author, the best work of author and the best work translation , as well as the application of specific criteria for selecting the winning works and other items that stimulate the scientific research at the university community service
