South valley university council in its recent meeting headed by Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour approved admission of (300) students in Faculty of Media and Communication Technology in next academic year (2014/2015) and establishment of Center of Education and Nursing Training at Faculty of Nursing at the university as a special unit, where the council approved establishing the unit of Public Service for Linguistic Accuracy within center of Public Service for languages research at Faculty of Arts at the university as a special unit , as well as approving bylaw for Career Development Center at SVU and suggested bylaw for program of linguistic development at open education in Arabic Department . On the other hand , the council congratulated Dr Akrem Fathy Mustafa , lecturer at Faculty of specific education and who seconded in King Abdulaziz University , Saudi Arabia for obtaining “Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum” Award for Distinguished Academic Performance,” the best research in educational research in the Arab world in 16th tournament of 2014 The Council also approved the appointment of Dr. Sayed El Sayeh Hamdan as professor of curriculum and teaching methods, ” Arabic language”, Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods, Faculty of Education, beside appointing both of Dr. Abdul Latif Mohammed Ahmed as Assistant Professor in Geography Department , Dr. Mohamed Abd El Shafi Muhammad as Assistant Professor, History Department, Faculty of Arts and Dr. Osama Ibrahim Saeed as Assistant Professor, Curriculum and Teaching Methods Department, Faculty of Education in Hurghada. Moreover the council approved appointing as lecturer both of Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Khadr Said , Dr. Mahmoud Ezzat Abd El-Alim , Dr. Ashraf Gad Abu Zaid at Faculty of Arts , Dr. Mohammed Khodary Mohamed Orabi at Faculty of Physical Education , Dr. Shazly Abdo Mohammed Ahmed at Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Ahmed Abd El-Hamid, Faculty of Education in Hurghada, as well as granting doctoral degree to students / Ahmed Mohammed Ismail at Faculty of Science , Ahdab Mohammed Hosni ,Mustafa Jalal Faculty of Archeology and Somia Mahmoud Mohamed Farghaly at Faculty of Education in Hurghada, in addition to grant master degree to Fawzi Ubaida Abu Hussein at Faculty of Science, Mohammed Abul-Magd and Mohammed Kenawy, Faculty of Arts Ahmed Attaya Hassan Mohamed ,Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mahmoud Atta Rashid Khalifa ,Faculty of Physical Education and Esraa Salah El-Din.Mahmoud, Faculty of Archaeology.
