South Valley University’s Campaign treats 559 cases in El- Qaliaya Village, Abu-Tisht, Qena Governorate.


Within the framework of the presidential initiative Haya Karima, South Valley University (SVU) organized a medical campaign in El- Qaliaya Village
, Abu Tisht, Qena, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of the University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

The President of the University confirmed that the medical campaign included distinguished doctors in various disciplines from the Faculty of Medicine at the university. The treatment was paid free of charge to all patients who visited the headquarters of the campaign, adding that the campaign examined and treated 559 patients in the following specializations: Gynecology and Obstetrics (10 cases), Dermatology (82cases), Ear, Nose & Throat (62cases), Internal Medicine (113cases), Pediatrics (120cases), Psychiatry (50cases),  and Ophthalmology(85cases) Moreover, The Anti-Addiction Fund also participated in awareness-raising for the people of the village on the risks of addiction and treatment methods.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nasary pointed out that the educational seminar was lectured by a specialist from the Faculty of Nursing to make the people of the village know about healthy nutrition, its importance, and its relationship to chronic diseases.
